Newer is usually better with tech, and the M Frame Alpha being released in 2016 makes it more appealing to me. It likely has more modern design aspects.

Both are polarized, but the Oakley Split Shot's lens tint and mirror coating seem perfect for sunny beach days. Definitely prefer it for that.
